Psychological Infection Control

As your team begins their shift, you might find it helpful to take a few moments to talk together as a group and run through a pre shift check in to help normalise, validate and recognise any concerns they might have while building morale and reinforcing a team ethos.

As you work through your shift you and your teams may find yourselves dealing with situations that are even more challenging than usual and at a faster pace than usual. It can help at these times to check in with people regularly to make sure all involved are informed of all necessary information, to consider if any changes need to be made to action plans and have an opportunity to see if anyone is in need of support.

Mixing means taking two or more drugs at the same time. This can include alcohol, over-the-counter medications, prescription drugs (such as diazepam, tramadol, Lyrica/pregabalin) and illegal or illicit drugs (such as MDMA, cocaine, heroin).

We all know that being more active is good for our health, but sometimes we overlook the benefits of simple activities like walking.
