This leaflet contains information on what you can say and do to help someone who may be thinking of suicide.
It highlights the warning signs, explains the feelings a suicidal person can have and provides a step-by-step guide to having a conversation and helping someone you’re worried about.
It also lists a number of support services for people having suicidal thoughts.

Lifeline in partnership with the Health and Social Care Board and Interpreter Now is increasing its visibility and accessibility to the Deaf community.
If you are in distress or despair, you can contact Lifeline using the HSCNI Remote Interpreting Service for people who use British Sign Language (BSL) and Irish Sign Language (ISL). InterpreterNow enables Deaf and hearing people to communicate instantly via telephone or web-based video link.

Sporting Pride Ireland works across NI and ROI to get LGBTQ people more active to improve mental and physical health. We have a directory of LGBTQ Inclusive Sports teams across the country and run online seminars where professional LGBTQ Athletes talk about mental and physical health journeys.

The Rainbow Project is a health organisation that works to improve the physical, mental & emotional health and well-being of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex and asexual people and their families in Northern Ireland.
We are the foremost LGBTQIA+ organisation in Northern Ireland and have two centres: one in Belfast city centre and the other in Foyle, L’Derry.

Membership of the Regional Workforce Wellbeing Network
The Regional Workforce Wellbeing Network is led by Dr Sarah Meekin, Head of Psychological Services in BHSCT and the majority of the 17 Health and Social Care organisations in Northern Ireland are represented in this network. At the start of the COVID-19 response this network was tasked with supporting managers and staff with the development and delivery of psychological support services for staff working across Health and Social Care (HSC) in Northern Ireland.
